What is the Light of the World Event?

We are a fun, family festival that brings people together from Logan City and beyond on October 31st each year. The event aims to reach a wide range of families, individuals, youth, and children of all ages, to promote unity in families, cultures, and our broader Logan community. It offers a fun-filled night of games, rides, food, live music and entertainment in an open-air, festival atmosphere. We believe in shining a light across the City on a night that typically represents darkness.

We want Light of the World to be a highly accessible event, which is why we offer free entry and affordable food and rides throughout the night. Given the growing success of the event year after year, we are expecting thousands of people to come through the gates this year. Last year we saw over 6,000 people in attendance.

Our Story

Established in 2010, Light of the World has been a stable, annual event. We have experienced tremendous growth and awareness since our beginnings in a car park at the end of a street. As a not-for-profit organisation, Light of the World is empowered by many volunteers from diverse backgrounds, who continue to help each year as they see the value this event brings to the community. We are also excited to announce we are now managed by Logan Community Events to help us build into the future.

Our Future

We hope to see this event expand over time, reaching families and young people right across our city and bringing a positive

and encouraging atmosphere to their lives even beyond the event. But we know that this mission can not be achieved alone. This is why we are reaching out for your help.

We are asking for donations to help make this event possible. Donations can be $50, $100, $200 and even more or less if you would like. Every dollar helps and we are so thankful for your support.
