Light up Astoria!

Here we are again asking for your help to light up our neighborhood for the holidays. It has been a tough start but we did it last year and I am hoping we can do it again. It is not easy to raise this money and to organize getting these lights up but they help our neighborhood look festive and beautiful. Most importantly they invite shoppers to walk around and support the local businesses. Astoria was once based on mom and pop shops who took pride in supporting and decorating the neighborhood. Now so many big corporations have taken over and these big corps do not take part in the street lights. It’s the small businesses that give. We are volunteers for the Astoria Restoration Association and we ask you to help in any way, either by donating or sharing this post to please do so with pride for your neighborhood. Let’s light up our beautiful Astoria folks!!
