Light Up Florida with Melbourne's Pride
Donation protected
To begin Pride month, the citizens of Jacksonville banded together to protest DeSantis's ban in Florida of the traditional Pride, Juneteenth, and gun safety bridge lighting in the name of freedom. Armed with colored lights, they lit their city with pride and banished the darkness.
Now we are taking that spark statewide. On June 29th, citizens in Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Wilton Manors, and across the state will bring the light to everyone. Let's show them Melbourne can be a beacon in the darkness. Please pitch in so that every attendee can have a light.
I am hoping to obtain enough lights for 120 people to paint the causeway with light. The money raised will go to purchasing lights and colored gels. Any funds in excess of the cost of this event will be donated to local LGBTQIA+ charities. Please pitch in what you can and join me to show Florida that Melbourne shines with pride.
