Light up Ouagadougou: Solar Panels for Maternity Clinic
Tax deductible
Many of you don't know my secret to resilience: when I was 18 years old, I took a trip to Africa, to volunteer as English teacher for little children between the ages of 2 and 6 years old.
I was in Ghana and Burkina Faso for one month and I met the most amazing human beings I've ever encountered! Loving, incredibly strong, and truthfully connected to one another, in the aim of a shared greater good.
I built a special bond with the community and with AMURT, the humanitarian non-governmental organization that has been supporting volunteering work across the globe for over 30 years.
I am now raising funds a second time, to help support the Health Clinic and Maternity Clinic in Ouagadougou, which runs 24H a day with over 40 patients a day.
The nurses have been operating in the dark at night, because there is no running water and no electricity in the region.
As you can imagine, this is very difficult.
The funds will be used to install new batteries and solar panels to light up their spaces, and make an impact on their health and safety.
This is a small campaign with a huge, significant outcome : ) !
Let's join forces and make this happen!!
The funds will go directly to the clinic.
I will share the results here, and on all my social media channels.
With all the Love I have,
