Lighten the Load of The Picardel Family During Immense Loss
Donation protected
On September 23, 2024, time stood still, and hearts were irreversibly broken from the loss of Nicholas (Nick) Picardel.
Born in Burlington, WI on Jan 15th, Nick is the loving son of Zeke and Leah (Cardona) Picardel (both formerly of Salinas, CA). He is survived by his big brothers DJ & Justin Picardel, younger sister Stacey Picardel, and daughter Jasey Rae Picardel.
Nick is that sincere “I love you” and infectious warm smile, only Nick could command both so effortlessly. If you were to ask Nick of his greatest love in 28 years of life, undoubtedly he'd say, “It’s my daughter Jasey Rae,” his enormously sweet and kind-hearted little girl.
The Picardel family is numb with grief and Jasey is missing her biggest admirer. For the first time, Jasey will experience a birthday without her dad; she turns 4 years old on October 5th. Nick and Jasey were a blooming father-daughter duo that screamed unconditional love, gentle kindness, and selfless patience. They adored each other, and it’s difficult to imagine Jasey maneuvering her way in the world without her father.
Leah and Zeke have built a beautiful family and home together in Wisconsin. They’ve helped many friends and family along the way. Truly genuine people, hearts of gold, open arms, and an open door to everyone lucky enough to know them. The family is greatly undeserving of this pain and emptiness. They’ve weathered many storms together, and even in this darkness, they have found Nick’s light. They have peace knowing that Nick continues to spread his love by providing life-saving organs and hope to several people.
This GoFundMe was created to help lighten the financial responsibility of the Picardel family and this unforeseen tragedy. Support will help with expenses for services, including the Celebration of Life planned for early November, and moreover financial support for Nick’s daughter Jasey Rae. While she is graciously loved and cared for, and financial support could never fill any void she feels now or in the future, it will help Jasey with all things a little girl experiences growing up; school shopping, birthday parties, holiday events, things that Nick would have proudly supported as her doting father. Nick may be physically absent, but his love and light will help see her through this lifetime.
As Nick’s community, we can return a little of the love he’s shared with us by lightening the financial load for his family and Jasey Rae. We hope to garner enough financial support for the Picardel family so they can focus on their grief. Initial gifts will be applied towards Nick’s services and the remainder will be for the care of Jasey Rae.
Please help support this beautiful family, give thoughtfully, and consider sharing this link.
Forever you are free, light the way, your love we see.
Thank you, Nicholas, for being you.
