Lighthouse Maintenance and Up keep

As-Salam Alaykum--as many of you know, the Lighthouse Mosque is an institution dedicated to serving the needs of the Muslim Community in the Oakland area. Some of the activities that the Lighthouse Mosque has spearheaded or partnered with other organizations over the years are a weekly feeding program at the Rainbow Recreation center. We also work with Muslim Corps to run a monthly food pantry that delivers grocery boxes to 50 families once a month in Oakland. In addition, we participate in the annual Humanitarian Day. Humanitarian Day has served over eighty thousand people since its founding and inspired over 20,000 volunteers to give back to their communities. It is one of the most extensive civic engagement programs during the Muslim’s sacred month of Ramadan in America. Oakland residents are given back-to-school supplies, jackets, and 1st aid kits in this event. Finally, in May 2019, we opened a transitional house for the formerly incarcerated that has to date, helped five men and three mothers with children reintegrate into society after incarceration.

We are asking the community to help us pay our property taxes, replace our carpets and repair our wudhu areas. We are looking for 110000 to achieve our goals. Thank you in advance for your support, and may Allah bless you
