Lightning strike house fire Eagan, MN

When we were woken up at 2:30AM. With all the emergency vehicles in the area we didn’t expect it to be our next door neighbors home.
Lightening struck their home in the early AM and thank goodness for our neighbors behind us that noticed the flames, our neighbors all made it out safely with their dog but the entire upstairs of their home is destroyed.  

Our neighbor Trent is a single dad with 2 teenage kids.. His oldest Paige just turned 16 the day before their home was destroyed.  All of her belongings are gone. Her brother  Gavin was in such shock.   School start in 1 week for the kids and that was one concern the kids brought up.  On top of several other personal memorabilia that they have lost.

Our heart goes out to our neighbor and the one thing is the entire family was in good spirits all things considered.  I know they don’t want a handout, that is the type of people they are.  But as their neighbors and friends I felt we needed to try and do something more. 

We gave them what we could but anything willhelp get them back on their feet in this time. Anything to help them get back to their normal.
