Lil Vinnie's medical costs
Tax deductible
Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money for BFPA to fund the medical costs of our little foster dog and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
BFPA pulled this terrified and very thin little guy from a small (very full) rural shelter on 5/14 - where he had been surrendered together with his pregnant mama and his sister. The mama dog is safe with another rescue and his sister is also in a BFPA foster home. We took him home and gave him a much-needed bath. He hung out with our dogs and we watched as the stress and fear just melted away. He's still a little nervous but he is OH so cute and gentle and he truly loves life.
We named him Vincent (Vinnie). Vinnie is a lively little chihuahua/dachshund mix - but regrettably, we discovered that he has both Heartworm and badly luxating patellas where his knees are out of place and won't go back in .. and so he requires Heartworm treatment and two knee surgeries before he can be available for adoption.
He was neutered on 5/19 and his HW treatment is underway; once he has recovered from Heartworm, he will be undergoing specialized orthopedic surgeries on his knees. He has a long and difficult journey ahead of him - but we are confident that this fun and stoic little dog will recover and live a long and happy life in his forever home.
We are so grateful that Best Friend Pet Adoption (BFPA) found him and saved his life. Please consider donating towards his medical costs. Every donation, no matter how small - is very much appreciated and 100% will go towards Vinnie's medical costs.
BFPA is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501 (C)(3) organization that provides foster homes, food, veterinary care, and love to cats and dogs that have been lost, abandoned, abused, and/or neglected. They rely totally on volunteers and donations to fund what they do every day, in order to place these animals into permanent, loving homes where they will never have to experience being unloved again.
