About Lilac Thursdays
Lilac Thursdays is a cafe started by three Christian friends living in Tokyo. We (Becky, Cheryl, and Chris) hope to design a space where the local community can feel at home with the food and beverage we provide, and have a platform for creativity and expression in cooking, baking, and art.

What We Need
We need your help to get this cafe started!
- Starting a cafe in Tokyo can be quite expensive and we are hoping to raise the starting funds here through this campaign. With your help, we will need to raise about ¥30,000,000 or US$300,000 for construction and key money for the property.
- Any money (even if we don't reach this goal) will go towards the opening of Lilac Thursdays.
The Impact
Our hope as we launch Lilac Thursdays is to bring community to the city and a sense of belonging to those who visit our cafe. And good bakes and coffee.
- We hope to help people connect by providing a comfortable place to meet and discuss important issues.
- We also hope to reach the artistic community by showcasing their art on location or through events such as live shows and exhibitions.
- All of us working on this project are committed to glorifying God and loving those around us with our hospitality.
