Phoebe’s Emergency Surgery Cost

Hi!! Christina, aka Phoebe’s mom, here! I am sad to share that The Lil baby was taken to the emergency vet yesterday afternoon after she started displaying symptoms of a potentially severe obstruction.

After spending the night at the hospital, hooked up to fluids and pain meds, her labs and X-Rays came back showing 2 foreign objects stuck in her abdomen that unfortunately block essential nutrients to her little body. (According to her vet, it is possible that these objects have actually been stuck in her for months with little to no warning signs, slowly causing blockage/damage to her intestines).

Unfortunately, they discovered that she is unable to pass the largest object naturally, and will need to go under for surgery today 7/7.

Double unfortunately, the estimated costs for this emergency procedure are completely out of my budget (assuming everything goes perfectly planned with no complications).

Triple unfortunately, I did sign her up for an insurance plan a few weeks ago (ironically) but we are in the waiting period until July 11. Anything occurring during this waiting period (everything for this procedure) will not be covered by the insurance. As of now, the total estimated cost is up $8,000 but could potentially climb higher.
