Lillie Mae Feacher Williams

Tax deductible
Lillie Mae Feacher Williams was born on June 2, 1940, in Monticello, Florida. She was the fifth born of ten children to the late Anthony Feacher Sr. and the late Ellen Carter Feacher. Lillie was formerly educated in Madison, Florida where she attended Madison County Training School and Suwannee River Junior College. While a student at Suwannee River College Lillie met her husband of 54 years, Charlie Williams, Sr. The two became sweethearts and were married on June 12, 1960, in Lee, Florida. After their marriage the couple moved to Miami, Florida where they resided for more than 40 years. From this union, they were blessed with two children, Pamela and Charlie Jr, and five grandchildren.

Lillie's husband and children were her utmost priority. She worked as a Seamstress and in 1978 retired from her professional life to become a stay-at-home wife and mother. Lillie and Charlie Sr. were dedicated to ensuring their life revolved around teaching pillars of hard work, independence, and patience to their beloved children and grandchildren. Some of her favorite hobbies were baking and gardening. She especially enjoyed learning about herbal medicine. If given the opportunity, she would have been a naturopathic doctor.

In her honor, in lieu of flowers Lillie Mae has asked that her loved ones donate to the United Negro College Fund. Funds will be given to minority students hoping to study naturopathic medicine.

More information about United Negro College Fund: Since UNCF was founded in 1944, opportunities for African American and other minority youths have increased dramatically. But the national need for minority education has proven as timeless as UNCF's motto, "A mind is a terrible thing to waste" Far too many African American and other minority students still lack the financial and other support or the rigorous pre-college education they need to gain admission to and succeed in college. It is to the success, in school and beyond, of these young men and women that UNCF is dedicated, as much today as it was when it was founded.

In Loving Memory.
