Lilly is our brave little 5 year old daughter (going to be 6 on the 21st of July). She is currently battling a serious infection in Albany Pediatric Medical Center. We are asking for Prayers and help as we go through this trying time. To give everyone a brief overview, Lilly had a regular ear infection last week, which the prescribed antibiotic ear drops didn't work as intended. The infection progressed into Mastoiditis (infection of the mastoid bone, just behind the ear). A quick surgery to have Tubes put in was performed along with 3 IV antibiotics. Unfortunately, the infection spread to the inner membrane of her skull and has progressed into Meningitis, which is a serious infection/ inflammation of the protective membrane surrounding the brain. She is currently undergoing another surgery for a Mastoidectomy, where they go in and clean out as much of the infection as they can to give the antibiotics a better chance of working. She is our little Lilly Pad and we are praying she makes a quick recovery. Prayers, thought and contributions (if you can) will go along way.
