Lilly McGann

On Tuesday night, our dear friends the McGann family suddenly and tragically lost their 15-year-old daugher Lilly to suicide. Her family is bereft in the wake of this horrible tragedy. She leaves behind her broken-hearted mother and father, Amy and Brian and her brothers, Zack and Hunter. Please help us to wrap her loved ones in hope and safety while they grieve the loss of their sweet daughter to a crisis of mental health.
No one could have predicted the loss of such a bright, young soul like Lilly. She was an intelligent, funny, kind young woman and a student at Meridian Medical Arts Charter in Meridian. She was a friend, a daughter, a lover of animals, and so much more to her friends and family than can be expressed in mere words.
Her family will need help to cover their living costs during this time of grieving, to cover funeral costs they could not have imagined they'd need to prepare for, and hopefully to cover any cost of mental health services needed to help their family mend on the heels of such an enormous loss. Right now, the McGann’s are overwhelmed with the mounting costs of Lilly’s final hospital expenses, and with the costs of her funeral. Any assistance helps them to move through this time, without further financial devastation.
Amy has been such a joy and a light in the lives of her friends and coworkers through trials and pain. Amy has never failed to soothe the hearts of those around her with jokes, pranks, silly drawings, meals and her presence. While most of us cannot begin to feel the horror and heartache of losing a child in this way, we can help to hold space for this loving, kind family amidst such brutal devastation.
The world always seems to march on when we most desperately need it to stop and take notice of our heartache, to wait for us to be able to go on again. While we cannot stop the world for our friends, we can hold space in a rushing world for them to grieve by taking care of their material needs at this time. Please share, give, and help us allow them to mourn their loss.
