Lilly needs an MRI and potentially surgery

7/7/23 update: Lilly has been home since Wednesday! She couldn’t wait to get home and finally eat. (Being at the hospital can be scary and may make pets too anxious to want to eat). She is strictly crate resting and being carried in and out to only go to the bathroom, which she needs help with standing up and still has trouble using her legs. We are working on at home rehabilitation and continuing meds. She is able to still give paw, meaning she still has ability to use her legs on her own!

Lilly is a 12 year old puggle who as of 48 hours ago was living a healthy life. In that timeframe she has lost her ability to walk, at all. While I work in the veterinary industry, I am not immune to its sometimes insurmountable cost. Lilly's condition while currently stable is critical. She requires hospitalization and pain management as it's crucial that she continue to have deep pain sensation and be able to urinate and defecate in her own. She requires specialized imaging (MRI) and possible surgery to remove a herniated disc that is compressing her spinal cord affecting her ability to walk and continue to thrive in her "golden years". I am always the first to reach out to help those in need, but this time I am looking for some kindness in return. If you know me, then you know this is not a small ask, and that I never ask for anything from anyone. I am always the first to give away everything I have to help others. I can't do this alone. Lilly needs our help. Any donations would be immensely helpful and know that I will return the favor someday. My estimate currently is $4000-9000. If this wasn't fixable I wouldn't ask for the help, and my veterinary team where I work doesn't have the specialized equipment or training to treat her beyond what's already been done.
