Lilou's Lifesavers
Hello gofundme family! We are Lilou's Lifesavers (Golden Gibson, Lianna Warden). On Tuesday August 11th, 2020 our sweet "wegie" boy Lilou was hit by a motorist and suffered multiple severe injuries. We are working to raise the money for his treatment and recovery.

A good samaritan drove Lilou to a nearby vet (highland veterinary clinic) where they were able to stabilize him and contact us. We picked him up as soon as we learned he was hurt, and transported him to AVC emergency veterinary hospital where he underwent CT scan revealing multiple fractures in his jaw and leg.
We are two loving parents of the sweetest wegie we have ever known. Lilou has been in excellent recovery following his first surgery on his jaw. He has defied all odds recovering use of his severely nerve damaged left front leg, recovering use of his jaw (he can eat comfortably with his mouth again), and his friendly and playful personality has survived despite the massive head trauma he has suffered from the accident.
We are not out of the woods yet. Little Lilou still needs a surgery (FHO) to treat the fracture in his hind leg, another surgery to remove the stint in his jaw, treat his Condylar fracture, and to repair broken bone in his upper jaw. The doctors working with him all agree that his recovery is remarkable (even miraculous), and that with our commitment to see him through his remaining surgeries and the full-time care he requires, he will live a long and happy life with our family <3
Lilou's story has already touched so many friends, and made many new and dear friends who have reached out sharing stories of their own cherished animal companions with us and encouraging us to push on.
We have a surgery coming up next week, and then another to follow shortly and we urgently need to raise the funds to meet his treatment and care expenses.
All funds raised will be spent for his care and treatment and any excess amount received beyond the costs of his care will be offered to help others in need of this same help. We would love for Lilou's story to result in care and support for others also in need, should we be successful.
Our boy Lilou is our first male cat and he is the glue that holds our small family together with his love and joyful spirit. He means the world to us, and we cannot imagine our lives without his unique presence. This is why we cannot give up on him.
We are unfathomably grateful for any and all support helping us to provide for him the treatment and care he so desperately needs.
