Legal Fund for Lily Sage of the Santa Fe Obelisk 9
Lily Sage is among the nine people charged following the removal of a racist monument in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Indigenous People's Day 10/12/20. Those who have been charged have been targeted by white supremacists and have had their lives severely impacted. Legal fees continue to pile up in the midst of a pandemic. A Restorative Justice process is being pursued by the state, but hiring a professional mediator to facilitate the process is expensive. If we support the removal of racist monuments we must also support those who "allegedly" remove those monuments.
Contributions to this GoFundMe will go directly to covering Lily Sage in the following ways:
- $4,500 past due to lawyer
- $3,000 for remainder of case
- $1,500 owed ASAP for Restorative Justice process facilitated by Common Ground Mediation
- $1,500 PDP possible restitution fees
Your support is deeply appreciated.
