Lily's Journey Home
Lily Kelly Freeman was born at 25 weeks while her mum and dad Liesl and Matt and 18mth old brother Will were in Queensland on a family holiday.
Lily was only 33cm, and 750 grams at birth. She is currently in the NCIU Maters Mothers' Hospital in South Brisbane receiving all the care she needs.
As Lily is so small, she cannot be moved back to their home in Geelong until she is several months older. Liesl is staying with Lily in Brisbane while Matt and Will return to Geelong for work and to give Will as normal routine as possible. Matt and Will be travelling up as often as possible.
It is heartbreaking that the family has been separated at such a challenging time, but also concerning is the mounting costs of living away from home. The family will be incurring the costs of accomodation in Brisbane, the cost of commuting for visits and extra childcare costs for Will where required.
The Freeman family would sincerely appreciate any support that you might be able to offer, however small.
Please help us support the Freemans until they can bring Lily home.
