Support for the Linares Family

Donation protected
My family and I have suffered an unimaginable loss—our home, where we grew up and worked so hard to build a life together, is gone. Our house burned down in the Eaton Fire and we lost everything we had inside—our belongings, our memories, and our sense of security.

My parents immigrated from Guatemala and had the opportunity to buy our home when I was little. They have carefully customized it over the years to fit our growing family. At the time of the fire, there were 13 family members living at our multi-generational home: my parents (Sonia and Carlos), my grandmother (Martha); my eldest brother (Melvyn), his partner (Vicky), and their daughter; my older brother (Michael), his wife (Crystal), Crystal’s mother and their two children; my fiancé, Jackie—who works as a therapist at PUSD, servicing youth in the community—our pets, and I.

We evacuated during the early morning on January 8th, with only our “go bags” since our plan was to return to the home in a few days. We did not get the chance to return to our home so now we’re starting over with almost nothing, seeking support to cover emergency expenses and day-to-day essentials. Your generosity will help us find stability and begin to recover from this devastating loss.

Thank you for standing with us during this incredibly difficult time.
