We are from the Lincoln Lions Football & Cheerleading Association. The Lions are a local football organization for youth under 14 years old. Our organization has been serving youth for 30 years.
We are very proud of our achievements and the hard work of our players and coaches. We also have a lot of people connected with the team that has also led to on-field success. Our 11U team is four seasons undefeated. Plus, winning the Blackstone Valley Youth Football Super Bowl the past four seasons. Winning the BVYFC Super Bowl makes the 11U Team the Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts champions. They competed in the semi-finals for the New England Championship, the Lions came out on top over the Bedford, NH Bulldog (26-8). This weekend, November 24, 2019, the Lions will face the Meriden Raiders in the New England AYF Regional Championship. If they win this game, they will be heading to Florida. They will not only be representing Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts but all of New England.
The players have worked very hard all season! Their dedication and hard work have to lead them to a great opportunity and experience. Unfortunately, there are many expenses connected with traveling to the AYF National Championship in Kissimmee, Florida. Those costs do not come easy for the players and their families. We estimate the flight, hotel, and food for the week will cost each player $1500.
With the National Championship, December 7-13, we have the challenge of raising all the funds within two weeks after the regional championship. Our team will rely on funding from family, friends, our fundraising events, and the support of local businesses.
Our goal is to raise enough money to pay for all of our 23 players and five coaches to travel and expenses while in Florida. We believe that this will cost between $40,000-$45,000.
We do hope that this is something you might be willing to consider. We can provide you with further details and a full break down of the likely costs.
Want to join me in making a difference? Help send these boys to Lincoln Youth Football and Cheerleading. Any donation will help and make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to the 11U Lincoln Lions.
If we do not make it through this weekend's championship game, all donations will be returned.
All Donations are tax-deductible, as we are a Non-Profit organization (EIN-20-5103736).
