Lincoln’s Home Run to Healing

Donation protected
Hi, we’re Michael and Ashley, proud parents to Ella (14), Lincoln (11), and Finnian (5). Five months ago, we bought a house to plant roots for our growing family. We’re hardworking—Ashley as a construction laborer, me as a USPS letter carrier—blue-collar folks who’d give you the shirt off our backs. Now, we’re asking for a hand.

Our son, Lincoln has been dealing with epileptic seizures since he was 3, just like his mom, who’s dealt with her own seizures since she was a child. At 11, he’s the sweetest kid—loves playing baseball, which has been the highlight of his summers since he was 3 playing TeeBall. On April 29th, Lincoln will be undergoing a procedure to remove a portion of his brain that may be causing his episodes. It’s a two part procedure wherein the first part, multiple sensor nodes are inserted directly into his brain to pinpoint the exact location his epileptic episodes are spawning from. The second part of the procedure involves removing the portion that is believed to be causing the episodes. It’s a shot at a better life, but it’ll keep him out of school and off the field for a while, as well as us out of work for up to a month maybe more, depending on how invasive it gets after the first phase of the procedure.

We’re aiming for $20,000: $7,000 for medical costs—co-pays, bills, whatever insurance skips—$7,000–$9,000 for lost wages, and the rest to keep our home steady through recovery. Every bit helps. We’ll update you as he works towards recovery—thanks for anything you can give or share.
