Lincoln's Physical Therapy Program
Hi ! My name is Amanda and my son, Lincoln is 3 and a half years old. He is super funny, a cuddle bug, and loves to move!
Lincoln was diagnosed with Epilepsy, Cortical Vision Impairment, and Global Developmental Delays at 3 weeks old but none of this has stopped him from being a super hard worker. Lincoln has been in Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Vision Therapy. Lincoln also sees a feeding specialist, neurologist, epilepsy specialist, opthalmologist, and a neuromuscular specialist. Lincoln is constantly working and now it's time for him to do something fun!
Lincoln absolutely LOVES to JUMP! He is a mover and a groover and we want to provide him with as many opportunities to do that as possible.
My husband, Eric, and I are taking Lincoln to a physical therapy program in Garden City, NY called Keep Moving Forward in August. With its state-of-the-art gym, Keep Moving Forward Inc offers a unique and effective Physical Therapy program for children and adults in which individuals are trained to reach their maximum potential of strength, endurance, and function. This gym is fully equipped with the most up-to-date tools and continues to evolve to provide their patients with the best interventions possible. Keep Moving Forward will provide not only Lincoln with a weeks worth of jumping, tumbling, and playing, but will also provide Eric and I the opportunity to learn more about creating safe and engaging exercises for Lincoln at home.
We recently found out that our insurance will not cover the week long program due to it being out of state. We truly feel that this will be an incredibly useful, educational, and fun opportunity for Lincoln and our family and we hope that you can help this become a reality for us!
