Lincon's recovery after suffering a spinal injury.

My family have set up this go fund me page to assist one of our young team mates, Lincon Goard.

Saturday 20th July, playing the game he loves in Narromine. Lincon suffered a life changing injury.

Lincon was tackled 10 minutes into the game, immediately he was unable to move his body. Thankfully to all involved he was stabilised and transported to Dubbo base hospital.

Once there, Linc was diagnosed with a spinal injury he had one broken vertebrae and one dislocated.

Lincon was flown straight to Royal North Shore and was operated on immediately.

His operation went as well as it possibly could, however has sustained spinal cord damage which will prolong his recovery.

Lincon has regained feeling in his limbs and some slight movement on his left side.

Surgeons are confident in his recovery, but it will be a long road ahead for him.

Lincon has just finished his heavy vehicle mechanics apprenticeship under the guidance of his father Mark, who operates his business in Coonabarabran. Lincon and Mark are the only employees of this business and therefore its operation is obsolete for the foreseeable future.

Lincon's Mum, Nicole works as a teacher at St Lawrence's school in Coonabarabran and is also unable to return to work at this time.

All donations made will ensure they are able to stay with Lincon and support him through his rehabilitation for the coming months ahead.

We have set this page up so all donations that are made will be sent directly to Mark and Nicole's bank account.

They are so very thankful for any donations that are made to help them support Lincon in his recovery.

Lincon is determined to be back at work in the future and he just cannot wait to get home and hang out with his mates and drive his beloved ute.
