Linda Allen New Recording - Emergence

Dear Friends,

Every time I think I am finished recording - after all, I am 76 - I think of Malvina Reynolds, Pete Seeger, all those mentors and heroes of mine who did not let age be a barrier to what needed to be said…or sung. And there’s a lot these days that I’d like to say.

So I am launching a new project, Emergence.  This time, it won’t be a physical CD, since so many folks don’t have anything to play one on.  The money I raise will go into studio time and payment to musicians and artists for a digital recording. Any funds donated beyond what is needed for the recording will be used to support a cause close to my heart: Housing and services for the homeless in Whatcom County where I live.  Here's a song from Singing the News, "Everybody's Gotta Be Somewhere".

On Emergence are new songs  and older songs I’ve never recorded.  I have in mind working with my husband Scott  to incorporate images.  I have lots of ideas, but no budget yet to bring them to life.

Thanks for considering supporting the arts and the homeless in Bellingham.   My goal is $6,000.00, and I’ll see how far I can stretch it!
