In loving memory of Linda & Amanda

The family of a mother and daughter who died in a collision on Boxing Day have paid an emotional tribute to them both.

Linda Philips, 72, and Amanda Riley, 49, both sadly died on 26 December, 2023, following a collision involving a BMW 4 Series, a MG ZS and a quad bike at the junction of Kitt’s Green Road, and Mackadown Lane, Birmingham. The family was travelling back from a family members house when a car travelling at excessive speed hit them! Emergency services arrived at the scene, heartbreakingly nothing could be done to save Linda and Amanda. There were passers by who quickly come to the aid of the family. Helping get the other family members out the car before it blew into flames. The family have lost everything. The family would like to thank whoever helped them at there time of need.

A family tribute said: "Linda and Amanda, mother and daughter were cruelly taken from us on Boxing Day, 26 December 2023.

"Linda was a beautiful and dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, auntie, and so much more. Her husband, children, grandchildren, and family loved Linda very much, and Linda absolutely adored her family.

"Amanda was a beautiful and much-loved mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and auntie.

"Amanda's parents, daughters, and grandchildren loved her so much, and Amanda was the apple of her grandchildren's eye.

"We ask, if anyone has any information, however small, please come forward, so that the families can get justice for Linda and Amanda."

Linda and Amanda's whole family are absolutely broken and we can only imagine the pain they are going through, the least we can do as friends of the family and as a community is to help them by offering some financial support so that they can put there loved ones to rest.
