Please Help Linda and Mitch Davis Survive Cancer

Have you ever been in line at a grocery store, at the DMV, or perhaps traveling to or from work on the bus, maybe not feeling that great, but you have to do what you have to do to make things in your life work...all of a sudden, you hear someone say to you, "Well don't you look lovely today?" and boom, a smile grows on your face? You turn to see someone smiling back at you. You may not know her, but what you do know is that for no reason at all she just shone a little ray of sunshine on your day. And very likely you've made a new forever friend.

That is Linda Holland-Davis.

Linda is one of those people who brings joyful energy everywhere she goes, she always has kind things to say, and finds humor everywhere. If you know Linda, you can her distinctive laugh in your head as soon as anyone mentions her name. And even when she's struggling, she wants to do whatever she can to lift others up. If you've ever had the chance to meet her, you know exactly what I mean.

Well right now, Linda is the one who needs to be lifted. Both she and her husband of over 30 years Mitch, are fighting cancer. For all the years Linda and Mitch have been together, they have worked hard and found meaning in giving to others. Whether through conversation, company, offering housing to friends and loved ones, or even literally giving away the clothes off their back, they have been unceasing in their generosity.

Now, they really need you to give back. Cancer is expensive. While there are many organizations that offer help with getting treatment, no one really addresses the struggle of cancer patients to just live. The expenses of daily life add up and will continue to do so over the next few months and most likely years as Linda and Mitch both take time to receive the treatment will be necessary (and perhaps ongoing) to save their lives. Every little bit makes a difference, so please contribute whatever you can. Even if all you can do is share this fundraiser, that helps too.
