Linda Canevari on her Breast Cancer Journey
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Wendy Mitchko and I want to share my sister's story.....
On October 11, 2022, Linda Canevari was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She received a double mastectomy on November 21st at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. On Monday, January 9th a port was implanted so that today, January 11th, 2023 she could begin her 1st of 8 rounds of chemo. She will receive chemo every 2 weeks and finish up at the end of April, around the time of her birthday. Afterward, she will get a month off to recover and then continue her treatment plan with 28 rounds of radiation.
Her husband Joe, sons: Kyle, Joey & wife Suz, and grandchildren: Taylor, Dylan and Brayden are her world and are dedicated to her getting the best care possible. Along with the rest of her family and friends, we are here to support her through this journey in any way possible.
As a member of "Ladies in Pink", a local non-profit originating from the loss of our sister, Michele, Linda knows all too well and understands the struggles families endure after a cancer diagnosis. Over the past 15 years, she has helped in the fundraising efforts thru "Ladies in Pink" to assist many families that have experienced this same ordeal.
I'm creating this fund to support her during her time of need. The medical bills will start rolling in and the financial costs for treatments will not be fully covered by insurance. In addition, Linda is on leave from her position as a pharmacy tech at the Giant in Dickson City.
I ask that you please donate or share this with others who can help during this incredibly challenging time. The family deeply appreciates your prayers and well wishes and would like to thank you in advance for your generosity.
Linda is extremely religious and seeks advice from the Lord for all aspects of her life. She prays daily for the health of mind, body and soul for all in need.
I found this bible verse to share in her honor:
“Do not be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.” Luke 8:50 NIV
Jesus is speaking to all of us the same way he spoke to Jairus in Luke 8:50. He encourages us not to be afraid. Even when having faith stops making sense. He tells us to “just believe,” and we will “be healed.”
