Linda Carlson Retirement Fund
Donation protected
As you may have heard, Linda Carlson is retiring at the end of the school year. Mrs. Carlson has been a teacher for nearly 40 years, and a teacher at the Ballard Elementary School for the last 27 years, where she spent most of her career teaching the kindergarten classes. After devoting her entire career teaching and caring for the children of others, the next chapter of her life will be shared with her husband, three children, and now her three grandchildren.
We are one of the families that are a part of her last class, but thought there might be others she has touched in our valley who feel the same way. Those of us who have had our children in Mrs. Carlson’s class, you know how lucky we were to have the “tooth fairy” (coined by the kindergarteners of years past and present) as their introduction to their educational years.
This “Go Fund Me” is tailored for Linda’s next chapter in life. After giving so much to so many children and families in this valley, we want to show our profound appreciation and to send her off in style.
Our goal is to raise enough money to purchase what Mrs. Carlson has always dreamed of having: a Vespa Scooter! Her dream is to cruise around Catalina Island (where she has a vacation home) on her scooter with the wind in her hair and a smile on her face. Any remaining funds will be given as a gift to Mrs. Carlson and her long-time teacher’s aide Sonia Mailes to assist them with their plans to travel abroad this summer.
Every little bit helps.
Thank you in advance for contributing to Mrs. Carlson’s retirement gift.
