Help Linda Kahn record her first studio album
After a lifetime of singing, I've found that I have something to say–perhaps a lot to say, about a lot of things. I've been saying it and singing it on theater and cabaret stages for years, but a recent trip to a recording studio with composer/producer David Friedman opened my eyes to the joys and possibilities of making a recording that would bring joy to others and give me a calling card to reach a wider audience.

The expense of doing this is, of course, considerable, so I'm asking friends, fans, and family to chip in and join me in this endeavor. I'm attaching the recording of “Summer With You/The Summer Knows” that David and I did in the studio, to give you a taste of what the CD will be like. If you enjoy it and are moved by it, please consider making a contribution of any size that feels comfortable for you. I will, of course, be offering perks for selected contributors, ranging from free CDs to dinners to home concerts. I’m happy to discuss.
I anticipate the total cost for a 10 -12 song CD to be about $40,000, including studio time, producer fee, musician costs, production costs, pr and promotion, and copyright fees.
