If you are a friend of Linda Parrish, we ask that you take the time to read this. If you know someone that has battled cancer, we ask that you take a moment to read this. If you know someone that has been screwed over by a medical insurance provide, we ask that you read this and share it with others that are frustrated with our medical system!
Nearly all of us know someone that has battled cancer. It is such a frightening and difficult diagnosis, no matter the type. No one should have to go through it. As difficult and painful as the treatment options are, the financial burden is almost as bad.
Our friend and group member, Linda Parrish, is in this health and financial battle right now. Unfortunately, this isn't her first time. In 2006, she battled a rare stage 4 cancer. With an excellent medical team she beat it and has been cancer free for 10 years! Sadly, it has returned, and once again she is fighting for her life. The treatment for her type of cancer is difficult and expensive. Her insurance company has already started to deny her doctor's requests to pay for tests she needs, let alone the treatments. She either has to pay out of pocket to get her tests and treatment now, or put everything on hold and wait until her new insurance starts in November -- and hope that the new insurance will help pay for it. This is such an unjust loophole in our system that no one should have to deal with!
Even with knowing what she will have to endure to win her fight with cancer again, and having to fight the insurance companies every step of the way, Linda keeps a positive outlook. She knows she has much more she is meant to do here before her time is up. She has many lives she is supposed to impact, and many experiences she to have. She is not giving up just because the insurance company doesn't want to help.
Linda knows that to beat this, she has to build her team - doctors, friends, relatives, and strangers that want to help her get better. By reading this, you are now part of this team. Whether you donate, say a prayer, or find another way to offer support, you have become an integral part of Linda's life and journey. If you know Linda, we ask that you make a donation, even if it is a small one, to help her with this fight. Even better, you can make small donations on a regular basis, as this treatment is going to be a large burden. If you don't, know Linda, yet you are pissed that someone who pays for medical insurance, can't get their insurance to pay for tests or treaments for something as deadly as cancer, we ask that you make a donation. We need to show how important every life is to fight for. We also welcome you to participate in other fundraisers for Linda, or to host one yourself. You can check Linda's Facebook Page for various fundraisers if you prefer to participate in something rather than just donating. Fundraisers include many of her friends that are doing specials through their direct sales businesses and giving her the profits...an upcoming motorcycle ride...direct sales vendor events...and lots of fun parties....After all, life and community should be celebrated!
After winning her first cancer battle, Linda decided to live life to the fullest. She realized how important it is to fulfill your dreams and to love the people around you. She learned to ride a Harley (Her bike's name is Black Betty ) grew her hair long, moved to Gladstone, MO, and joined a great church. Linda has her own small business in which she shares her success of her tremendous weight loss and the products that helped her acheive it. She participates in several networking groups, always trying to help other's with their businesses before her own. Her husband, who is her rock, became an ordained minister and a Chaplain. He rides his Harley with her every chance they get. He is a Vietnam Vet that has always served others. They have given back to society by participating and raising money for many charity rides for cancer.
Family has become even more important to them - as it would when you face something like this. They have a daughter who is the love of their lives. They also raise 5 cats who despiretly want to see Linda get better. Linda is gregarious, fun, ornery, caring, courageous, and she will stay this way all through her treatment!
Linda has a big heart and has always donated to others in need. She has even written the book, “There IS no stage 5”. A percentage of the profits goes to LLS. You can pick up a copy on Amazon or Authorhouse.com if you’d like to read her story. As much as she helps others, now she needs help. We would like for you to join her team so she can fight.
As happens when financial disasters happen, the medical bills are not all she will have to worry about. Since her last fight, she and her husband have been diligently putting away each month was to buy a small house. They have been in a rent to own home that must be purchased by September or they will lose it. TThe medical bills and tests they will have to pay out of pocket will take all of the money they have saved and more. No one wants to lose their home, especially when they have worked so hard to save for it. We can band together to help someone that truly deserves it!
We are setting up this account to help her get her home as well as pay her bills. We appreciate ANY donation, as every dollar counts. If you would like to donate your time, have a fundraiser idea, or have contacts of groups or individuals that can help we ask you to contact us or Linda. You can also make a purchase from her home-based business here if you prefer. And of course, it will be very helpful if you share this and encourage others to donate or participate.
Thank you and bless you for your time to read this and any help you can provide.
This is brought to you from all of her friends at Successful Direct Sales Income Networking Group in Kansas City. We welcome inquires from anyone with a direct sales business that would like to host a fundraiser for her.
