Linda Kiernan Cancer Treatments

I'm currently fundraising for my mom Linda Hudson-Keirnan. Linda is currently battling a cancerous growth (squamous cell carcinoma), that she's previously had 2 surgeries on with no luck. The growth came back bigger and more painful, and she will be undergoing rigorous treatments involving radiation. Before the cancerous growth, she had to have a separate surgery to remove cancer from her bladder.

Unfortunately, Linda also struggled through the pandemic while simultaneously being diagnosed with a crippling anxiety disorder that manifested as a slight agoraphobia. She was out of work for a while as she was in the service industry as a food and beverage employee at a hotel, which took a longer time to call back their employees as restrictions were lifted. For a brief time, she returned to work but soon found out that she would have to put on a medical leave; which coincided with downsizing from her employer that now leaves her in limbo until she can apply for disability, as she s a few years out from receiving her pension. With medical bills piling up, and being out of work, she has been struggling to make ends meet in the meantime. Thus, the creation of this fundraiser, as she is currently unable to leave NY to come to live with me due to her treatments and upcoming appointment restrictions there.
