Linda Magee - Christmas House Fire

A few days before Christmas, my incredible Mom, Linda Magee, lost her home and everything in it to a total-loss fire (link here). Thankfully, Linda, her dog Molly and my brother Greg were able to escape unharmed.

It is believed that the fire started in the unit above her around 2AM, and we consider ourselves blessed that Linda just happened to be awake at the time and able to get out.

Unfortunately, it will take at least one year before Linda's home can be rebuilt. Since the day of the fire we have worked to make sure Mom and Greg have a place to stay and can start piecing things back together (thanks AC).

Decisions big and small are all over the place and happening all at once. I mention that because it is hard to know exactly what is needed right now as we work with the insurance company and her HOA to determine who is covering what and when.

One thing that has blown us away is the outpouring of love and support from friends and family. So many of you have reached out and asked how you can help and that is why I am starting this fundraiser. I'd like to help the person that has helped me the most in life at a time when she could really use it. We cannot replace so many of the memories that were lost in the fire but we can make the road back from this event a little easier.
