Linda McGill

Linda McGill has been diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer and is going to be undergoing aggressive treatment that will impede her ability to work over the coming months.
She is starting treatment immediately and if you've encountered the radiation/chemotherapy/surgery process before, you'll know it is exhausting. Linda will need financial help while she recovers (hence the GoFundMe). Information about meals and visits will be posted here when available.
Wait a second, wasn't there something medical with her a while back?
You may recall Linda having a non-cancerous brain tumor! The tumor was lovingly named Arnie and Arnie was successfully evicted in 2017. Linda's new unwelcome roommate is named Astrid and we intend to send Astrid out in style. 
Also she's a Type 1 Diabetic, maybe that's what you're thinking of?
What kind of cancer does she have?
Linda has Stage 3 colo-rectal cancer, which is a big pain in the ass! Stage 3 means the tumor has settled in to her muscles and will be some work to get rid of. 
What do doctors even do about that? 
Well, we're jumping on this right away. Linda starts radiation this week to try to shrink the mass. She'll be on that for several weeks then take a break for evaluation. The idea so far is to have surgery in January of 2020 but obviously her course of treatment will evolve as doctors gather information and see how her body responds to each stage. 
But, like, is she okaaaaay?
Great news: she's still Linda! She's approaching this with the same humor that she brings to everything. Linda has been strength training every week for a year and a half now so she's feeling stronger in her body than she ever has. This is definitely going to throw a wrench in things but she's the same as she ever was. Linda is a warrior and she won't go in to battle alone. She has us.
