Linda Smiley’s Cancer Battle

For those of you that don’t know, Linda recently had surgery to remove what was thought to be a Benign parotid tumor. During the surgery they discovered it was an aggressive form of cancer. Unfortunately, In trying to remove the cancer-the facial nerve was damaged causing her to have permanent facial nerve paralysis on her left side (left eye/facial drooping). They got a lot of the cancer out but not all of it was able to be safely removed.

She has a long road ahead of her-possibly another surgery, radiation/chemo treatments, an Oculoplastic procedure because she can not blink her left eye, occupational therapy for trying to learn to eat and drink a new way.

Anyone that knows Linda knows that she is one tough cookie-but this is a lot to take at one time. Because she has touched so many peoples lives-many have reached out wanting to help. We put this fund together to try and alleviate some of the financial stress that this will cause. The medical bills will be overwhelming and what little funds she has will be gone very soon. Please help me get the word out so that we can rally everyone’s help to show Linda that there are many who are pulling for her and are willing to help shoulder some of this financial burden so she can focus on fighting cancer.
