Linda Warriner's Road to Recovery

On the night of July 17th our mom, Linda Warriner, suffered a severe stroke in the left hemisphere of her brain. In the early morning of July 18th, Carl found her on the floor and immediately called an ambulance where she was rushed to our local hospital here in Fredericksburg. After a brief stay there she was promptly transferred to Methodist Hospital in San Antonio where she stayed for a week receiving urgent care. Since that time she has been at a local skilled nursing facility. Unfortunately, that facility was not able to provide the care she needed so we changed her insurance and forced them to refer her to an acute rehab facility just down the road from us where she will be staying for the next 2 weeks or more. Once her time there is completed we will be moving her back into her home where Car,l Sarah and Myself will be close by and helping along the way, however, we need help.

Her hospital bills have started coming in. Her house is not set up for the type of assistance she needs and there are medical necessities we will need including a hospital bed, wheel chair, shower bench, etc... not to mention the home care nurses we will need a long the way. I have taken care of her bills and eliminated some of her debts, but once her memory starts coming back the last thing she needs is financial stress.

She is a strong and incredibly proud woman, she would likely be upset I would even do this, but we are running out of options. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated and we thank you dearly. I will provide updates along the way, and hopefully some pictures. Right now her short and long term memory have been affected and she doesn't fully know what is going on. We would love to make a photo album for her, something that will begin to jog her memory, so please send pictures you have of yourself and her and I'll get them printed up and put together.
