Linda's Care and Wellness Fund

To the many of you that know Linda personally, and to those like myself that don’t know her at all but have come to know her through others, or vicariously through the stories her husband Mike tells so well, I ask that you take the time to consider your place in this world and the beauty and fragility of it all.  Most of us have experienced varying trials and tribulations in life to include having a loved one diagnosed with a serious medical condition or having been diagnosed ourselves.  A cascade of emotions through it all along with the ever changing landscape of this new life’s path can bring many questions and worry.  

 

This has been the case with Linda and Mike since Linda was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s just this last summer.  The future is now for this couple that has had such a broad impact on so many through decades of Church work, child care, volunteerism, and adventure with family, friends, and strangers.  

 

I approached Mike with the idea of creating an avenue where they may receive help financially.  After much apprehension and discussion, he agreed, knowing that he may need help regardless of whether he wanted it or not.  I’ve created this fund for people to have a way to help monetarily if so inclined.  The money will go directly to Linda’s medical expenses and quality of life, to include helping her enjoy and experience all she can in the limited time she has.  Mike will keep track of the money through a separate bank account just for this fund. If you are unable to donate, prayers and well-wishes are more than welcome, and powerful to Linda and Mike in their own right.  

 

Regardless of how you can help, you can show your continued support by bettering those around you and always striving to better yourself.  Enjoy life! Explore!  Challenge yourself mentally, physically and spiritually.  Share all of it with those you love and encourage the same.  Take chances and smile.  Our individual worlds are ever-changing and though we don’t get the days that have passed back, we can take hold of the days we have and enrich them.  Make the most of them as we never know how it may all change.  I personally thank you all so much and I know Linda and Mike are beyond grateful and humbled by any and all help provided.
