Linda's family needs help due to cancer & bills.

Hello Friends, Family, and Community. My name is Christina Motzko, and I am starting a Go Fund Me for my best friend Linda’s husband, Shawn. Shawn, Linda and Caleb (11 yrs old) Boyle are local West Chester, PA residents. Shawn is currently battling cancer. He is extremely dedicated to his family and work, however, the cancer treatments are preventing him from continuing to work. Bills and general cost of living are mounting and I’m hoping you can help.

In April 2022, at a routine dental appointment, a small mass was detected on the right side floor of Shawn’s mouth. Multiple ENT appointments and scans later, he was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Mouth Floor, T2 Poorly Differentiated. On May 26, 2022, Shawn had surgery to remove the mass, which in that short period of 5 weeks, had grown to the size of a lime. Also removed were his salivary glands on the right side, a portion of his tongue, and his lymph nodes from the right side of his neck.

Shawn has now been undergoing radiation 5 days/week and chemotherapy (Cisplatin) 1 time/week. The radiation alone is making eating near impossible so he has now undergone surgery for a feeding tube and may have to have a chemotherapy port installed as his veins are failing under the pressure of treatment.

Shawn does not have conventional insurance or short/long term disability with his employer, so any and every little bit will help. Thank you so much for your kind donation. Together we can help this loving family beat cancer.
