Linda's Fire Recovery Fundraiser

My name is Tessa Watne, I am asking you to help us raise funds to support Palisades Fire survivor Linda, who tragically lost her home and beautiful gardens in the Pacific Palisades fire. I live outside of San Francisco California, and my heart aches for our neighbors in southern California.

Linda is not your typical Palisades resident. She has been in her cozy home for over 40 years, where she raised her family and nurtured her gardens. Linda escaped the fire with just the clothes she was wearing, and she lost all of her and her family's earthly possessions, her magical banana trees, and her vehicle. Most of her entire neighborhood has burned to the ground.

Linda is a pillar of her community. She is a regular volunteer at Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine, a non-denominational garden sanctuary where people the world over come to meditate and to find peace. Linda was also on the board of a neighborhood non-profit that has fought to save their coastal canyon from development – which is now more important than ever. Linda also opened her home to guests from around the world.

Linda's loss is immeasurable, and we're hoping to raise money to support her during this stressful time. Linda and her daughter Jamie are part of my very small extended family, and I cannot comprehend the loss they are enduring. Linda is my great aunt, one of my last living relatives from the Moody side of my family. Please consider supporting them on their journey to healing from this loss. Help us get Linda home, so she can get back to baking banana bread and focusing on uplifting her community.
