Lindsay's Transplant recovery

Donation protected
7/13/2022: Today My mom and myself went to my second week post transplant appointment. Liver is working great, which is awesome! Kidneys on the other hand are a little “ irritated with me” at the moment. Just the whole stress of all the meds, those 3 weeks in the hospital leading up to the surgery, after care, new meds and now trying to get used to a foreign object. Took a few meds away & decreased others to give my kidneys a break. Going back next week for three days as well as doing an ultrasound on a knot they found on my upper abdomen. I know God will be here to guide the doctors and surgeons through everything as well as myself and my family as we continue to recover and drive back-and-forth to Atl!! I must say my mom is not liking it LOL but is getting better at driving in Atlanta traffic. She is an angel
Heather and I we’re just talking about how lucky we are to have parents like we do. Not everybody is so blessed and I feel extremely gracious to have my mom, dad, smith, Brit, and Joe by my side through good times, bad times and stupid mistakes. And I always look forward to seeing my beautiful, amazing and talented nieces!!
Thank you all for well wishes and prayers. Please continue as we keep fighting the next 6+ months Just arrived at heather’s for a much needed 5 day break from atl!!!

7/8/2022: As I wake up this morning, Im so overwhelmingly blessed. Last night was the first night being home after a long stint in the hospital. My mom and myself have a two day break before heading back to Atlanta for more appointments and blood draws. Still not sleeping at night (10 nights) just one hour at a time, but it’s better than nothing at all. I was so excited to see my dad yesterday and I can’t tell if he was more excited to see my mother or myself. If you know him, you know he is a man of MANY words however last night I caught him stumbling on words; He was just too happy and overwhelmed to see us. 3 1/2 weeks is a long time to be away from the love of your life, my mom, and your firstborn/baby doll, me. The recliner assisted myself in the sleeping process, however pain is pain and ITS THERE. Being back home however gave me some relief mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. I continue to be blessed by God‘s gift, the love from family and friends along with perfect strangers. I will continue to recover with my NEW life that God has blessed me with along with honoring the man who sacrificed himself in order for me to do so.

6/20/2022:  Hi, my name is Joseph and I am setting up this gofundme to support Lindsay Jenkins as she prepares to go through a liver Transplant and the recovery afterwards. Lindsay loves her life and her calling in the health care field. She always goes over and beyond with her patients, during treatments as well as afterwards and sometimes continues to stay in touch with her patients long after discharge.  She has two beautiful nieces and wants and is excited to see them blossom into young ladies. She is very close with her family and has a tight group of girlfriends. Lindsay has so much to live for and so many people that Love her. However she is still in need of financial assistance. She would greatly appreciate anything and everything that could provide assistance.

Comments:

"My sweet, beautiful, hardworking, do-anything-in-the-world-for-you friend, Lindsay, has been dealing with end stage liver disease for the past year. There's been a lot of appointments, testing, procedures and hospital stays. All of this is being done in the hopes of, and preparation for, getting a liver transplant in the very near future. As you can imagine, it has taken a toll on her physically, mentally and financially. As we pray and wait for God to provide Lindsay with a PERFECTLY matched liver and restore her to health, anything you may be able to contribute toward her medical bills would be so greatly appreciated!!"
