Dear family and friends,
Our daughter Lindsey has been involved with ministry for most of her life. She has been creative and shown leadership from an early age. Some highlights include starting a girl’s bible study at Monterey Bay Academy, Director of Teen Bible Academy, Oakhurst Church Bible worker and very recently, Night Time Director for Center for Youth Evangelism, (CYE) where she developed a team to create a 2019 Pathfinder’s Nightly Program that was considered, by many, to be the best ever. She has also been involved and led teams on mission trips to Belize, Cuba, Mexico, Dominican Republic, India and Pakistan.
Unfortunately, during the past several years Lindsey has quietly struggled with Crones Disease. This auto immune disease attacks the digestive system and can, at times, flare up and be debilitating. The weeks leading up to the Pathfinder Camporee were very busy and at times, as you can imagine, very stressful with pressing deadlines. During this time, Lindsey ended up in the Hospital for nearly a week with a severe Crohn’s attack and incurred a large medical bill.
Last week Lindsey went to the Mayo Clinic and received a complete evaluation and was started on a different medication regime. This week she was back in the hospital with new symptoms and seeking more treatment.
The good news is that we serve a good God that has Lindsey in His arms. We also have you as friends and family that are supporting her with kind words and prayers. We ask that you keep the prayers coming and that God give her complete victory as she continues to serve Him and raise little Ellie.
Lindsey has recently accepted the position of Associate Pastor at Pioneer Memorial Church where she is working to minister to the youth and young of all ages. This new position also comes with good medical benefits unlike the prior.
She would never ask, but we feel the need to reach out. If you have been blessed and would like to make a difference for Lindsey and Ellie, we know that she would be forever grateful. She is now faced with over $ 18,000.00 in medical bills.
From the bottom of our hearts we want to thank you for your continued prayers and support.
