Lots of Love for Lindsey

Many of you know my dear friend Shelley Tolopka and her daughter Lindsey. Lindsey was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor and will be undergoing treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Her initial treatment will include daily radiation and chemotherapy for about 6 weeks, with a minimum recovery period of 30 days. The doctors do anticipate further treatment, but will reevaluate after the initial time period. The tumor is non-operative and the goal of treatment is to stop the growth of the tumor.

Due to the location of the Mayo Clinic, Lindsey and her caregivers will need to secure short-term living arrangements in Rochester, MN. Lindsey is an elementary school nurse and will not be able to return to work for an indefinite period of time. She has two precious daughters who also need daily care while their mom is undergoing treatment. Our goal with this fundraiser is to support Shelley, Lindsey and her family by assisting with medical bills, short-term housing and daily living expenses.

As most of you know, Shelley moved to South Dakota this past year to be a supportive mom and grandmother. Little did we know, the battles they would soon begin fighting. As a friend, Shelley has always gone over and beyond to support us in every way. If you had a need, Shelley was always the first one to donate, cook, bake or do what was needed. It is now time for us to step up and support her and her family. Thank you, in advance, for your support and generosity.
