Lindsey & Zack - tragic car accident

Lindsey and Zack are 2 young adults just starting their lives together. They are described as the peanut butter to the other's jelly. On Sunday, 9/11/22 @ 6:30 am their lives changed forever when they were headed to work at the hospital in Deland and a wrong way driver (assumed to be committing suicide) collided with them head on at full impact speed (65+ mph). Sadly, the wrong way driver succeeded in his suicide and he died on scene. Lindsey and Zack had to be extricated from the crushed vehicle and were transported as trauma victims to an area hospital. Lindsey sustained internal injuries, a broken femur, fractured ribs, arm and foot. She has had 2 surgeries so far and with lots of time, healing, PT, and prayers should recover in a few months. Zack, on the other hand, is still in critical condition, had multiple major surgeries, and his prognosis is unknown at this time. Because I have not received permission from HIS family to discuss the exact injuries, I will not post any details. I have received permission from Lindey's family to post some of her medical details and to start this fundraiser. Anyway, Zack and Lindsey will be out of work for a very long time and Lindsey is very concerned that her bills will go unpaid and it will ruin her credit score, an unfortunate reality that will impact her for many years. This is absolutely the last thing she needs to worry about right now, but Lindsey is a forward thinker, always planning for her future. She was a Girl Scout for 13 years and dedicated countless hours of her life to volunteering in our community. Her parents were so proud of her for graduating in June and on August 26th, purchasing her first car all on her own. This is the car that was totalled in the accident, a mere 3 weeks after she bought it.
