Lindsey’s road to beating Stage 3 C Breast Cancer

Donation protected
Lindsey Lopez is my best friend, who brings so much light, joy, love, and positivity into this world and those that she cares about. On December 7th, 2023 Lindsey was diagnosed with Stage 3 C Breast Cancer. Unfortunately, Lindsey lost her mom just four years ago to ovarian cancer; so her diagnosis of breast cancer confirmed her worst nightmare. These genes have run through her family for generations and has taken the lives of many she loved. No 26 year old should have to endure this diagnosis but doing so without the support of her mom, who was without a doubt was a primary source of strength in the family, adds to the heartbreak of this situation.
Lindsey is a single mother to a handsome, wild, adventurous little five year old boy, Landon, who depends solely on her. She works hard as a dental assistant and really has flourished in these roles and is passionate about continuing to do so. Lindsey plans to continue to fight to get her life back and to be a strong pillar for her friends and family, but especially to her little boy, Landon.

Whether you’re her friend, coworker, family member, or simply an acquaintance who has or knows someone who has been in these shoes, I'm sure you can understand how hard this is on her and her loved ones. Lindsey’s network of people ranging from her time in sports, music, work, Girl Scouts, etc is comprised of many people she holds close to her heart and we’re hoping this platform can assist in reaching the people who’d like to offer support.

Lindsey will begin her first round of chemotherapy and immunotherapy this upcoming week - 1/17/2024. Once chemotherapy is completed she will undergo surgery for a double mastectomy, possibly followed by more chemotherapy or radiation.

This life changing diagnosis has already led to an overwhelming amount of doctor’s appointments, missed work, adjustments on daily life activities. This unfortunately is just the beginning. However Lindsey is dedicated to fight and do all that she can to beat this while maintaining a feeling of normalcy for her son. As she goes on to take on her biggest battle, I decided to start this GoFundMe in hopes it could help her worry about one less thing and allow her to dedicate all her energy to getting well. Please consider helping whether that be donating or sharing this post. Nothing is too little. With the support, prayers, love of her nearest and dearest and YOU - together we can help Lindsey on this road to recovery. Thank you.
