Linell Juliet Fire Recovery Fund

Hi everyone,

I can’t even believe I’m typing this. Early this morning, around 4:30am, my moms apartment complex went up in flames. Her neighbors banged on her door and she only had enough time to grab a pair of slippers and her phone before the roof starting falling in. She got out safely, and is currently staying with my family, but she has nothing to her name besides the nightgown she was wearing, slippers and her phone. She didn’t have time to grab her keys, glasses, medications, a tooth brush, socks. Everything is gone. We are getting her settled slowly with the necessities but as you can imagine, this is extremely overwhelming and shocking. Anyone who knows Linell knows she’s a woman of positive perspective (she gets that from her mother). The first thing she did when she got to my house was ask to see the kids and she put the biggest smile on her face and started playing and dancing with Wyatt. She is a warrior who has endured tremendous pain and trauma in her life, and now she is being forced to start her life entirely over at 74 years old. We are working with insurance to get her life back, but we have a long road ahead. She will need to find a new home, completely furnish her new place (from the larger items like furniture to small items like forks, plates, a shower curtain, etc). Every penny helps, truly, get her back on her feet. Whether it’s contributing here towards this Go Fund Me account, proving gift cards, a meal, flowers, a warm hug- all the love and support is beyond appreciated and we are so thankful for the wonderful community she has in her corner. Together we will get her taken care of and she will be okay.
