Linette Kanyer Brain Surgery

Hello my names Nicholas Kanyer, son of Linette Kanyer and big Brother to Alorah Kanyer Palacios. Over the last 6 month our beloved Mother Linette had been feeling dizzy and was told she had a bad case of vertigo. They did nothing to help her but tell her “it will go away eventually” two months past before she was able to see her 4th doctor (due to covid) only to find out that she was falsely diagnosed and needed to be rushed in for emergency brain surgery. Within the hour we were informed that she had a tumor at the base of her skull and it needed to be removed immediately. Before this my mom was immobile and couldn’t work let alone even see straight, So we knew the pressure of the tumor was what caused her pain and discomfort. With the help of an amazing surgeon our mom spent the next 4 weeks in recovery from brain surgery. Ounce she was able to come home she immediately started Radiation.

My mother had to rebuild everything from the ground up. Basic motor skills, swallowing, talking, walking, even using the bathroom. My Father, sister and I have done our very best without the help of a nurse or therapist to rehabilitate Mom back to good health. Moms currently recovering from her radiation and is able to walk but still unable to work her own job. My family is doing their absolute best to stay afloat financially but just this week my Mothers Landlord threatened to evict her if we can’t make the new rent. With Hospital bills piling up and unemployment no longer coming into assist we are reaching out to ask for help. Every penny counts.
