Lion the Campsie Street Cat - RIP

Update

Unfortunately, almost one year after his rescue Lion has deteriorated in the last week and passed away at the vets. Thank you to everyone for your help with ensuring this brave boy got to experience a full belly and warm and loving home for the last year of his life. Lion's impact on all of us will not be forgotten and I will continue to help other cats in need.

Hi, my name is Magda, I'm a Sydney based event producer and on occasion a cat rescuer in Australia as well as abroad. I have six rescue kittens who my family and I kept and who are now 5 years old. It is not until I moved to Campsie, NSW two years ago, however that I became really concerned with the plight of the suburb's street cats. Unfortunately due to people abandoning and not desexing their pets there is a huge problem with cats ending up on the streets.

I have seen Lion around before however this poor cat as of this week has not been eating or drinking and is evidently struggling with his health and living a tough life on the street. Myself and a wonderful lady tried to trap him unsuccessfully until she succeeded last night and Lion will now be taken to get the vet work he needs.

As I am already looking after my own cats as well, as three street cats who adopted me, and often feeding the colonies around Campsie, I would greatly appreciate any donations/financial help with getting help for this boy who after vet treatment will go into foster care.
