Lisa and Scott McClarren

On behalf of our friend Lisa McClarren I am launching this Go Fund Me to help Lisa and Scott bridge support to keep their business alive while they seek investor or buyer financing. Without this support, Lisa, Scott and Lisa's mom will lose their family home and all their future security. There is so much need in the world but the best most impactful way we can all support each other is to give locally. My name is Lisa and I am the owner of Countryside Market, LLC in Westport, Massachusetts. What started out 21 months ago as a new chapter in my life after losing my job of 35 years has sadly taken everything my husband and I have worked so hard for.

We are a small local deli/butcher shop that serves sandwiches, salads, power bowls, soups and scratch made take home meals along with our deli meat and butcher counter and some amazing desserts. Our little shop was a complete startup with no floors, walls, plumbing or electricity. Just a shell. We put our heart and soul in to making our little dream a reality. We have new people finding us every day but unfortunately we are not currently growing fast enough and I am in desperate need of support to keep my business alive.

It is with a heavy heart that I find myself in the tough position of possibly losing my home. My 78 year old mother lives with my husband and I and we will all be homeless if I am unable to buy some time and turn things around. I am looking into finding investors or someone to purchase my business so that I can get out of this mess and not lose my house. I would love to stay on and manage the day to day operations, if they will have me.

In the meantime, I need HELP! I need to raise $50,000 to catch up on paying my past due invoices and continue to be able to purchase food and pay my employees while keeping the lights on. Any little bit will help and I truly appreciate any support from friends, family, customers, former colleagues and total strangers during these tough times for all of us.
