Lisa is a very dear friend, a loving mother of two children, Kaydon 13 and Jordan who is 11 she has a devoted husband whose name is Bill. She has been a part the Costco family for 17 years. Before she moved to Nanaimo Lisa grew up in the little town of Crofton she went Chemainus High from 1985 and Graduating in 1988. Lisa is a well known for her quirky sense of humour and she can make even the gloomiest day seem brighter.
On June 6th of this year Lisa wasn’t feeling well and went off work on Short Term Disability it was a month and a half later on July 22, 2016 that the Doctors finely diagnosed her with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. At the moment she is undergoing her second round of Chemo. The doctors have decided that radiation treatment will not work for her. At this point of time we don’t know when Lisa may return to work and it is causing considerable strain on the family as she is paying for some of her medication out of her own pocket. Lisa would also like a wig as she has lost most of her hair.
Lisa is an amazing person who is always finding the lighter side of life with her wonderful smile and amazing sense of humour. This is remaining true even though Lisa is going through the most difficult time in her life. Don’t get me wrong she still has her dark moments but always comes out of them with amazing spirit.
On behalf of Lisa and her family as well as Linda and myself, I extend a sincere, heartfelt Thankyou to all who give and /or to continue to keep Lisa in your prayers and thoughts. Please send loving and encouraging messages during this difficult time!
