Lisa Beth's Medical Bills & Living Expenses
Donation protected
We (Mary Grace & Celia) are fundraising to help our mom with her medical bills and living expenses. As many of you know, our mom had a brain tumor and subsequent brain surgery - a craniotomy (her scar is pretty metal) - this past September. She was in patient for about a month and came across a couple complications in recovery and rehab. Following surgery, we had to navigate the complex world of brain cancer treatment. Our mom started concurrent chemo and radiation after a few weeks of being out of the hospital and just finished her first round. She had a scare in the middle of treatment, and it's been not the easiest road so far. She still has further rounds of chemo ahead.
Lisa Beth has worked so hard, juggling two or three jobs and working about seven days a week to make ends meet before her diagnosis. Since the diagnosis, she has not been able to work consistently, and my sister and I are at the point where we are asking for others' help in supporting our mom. We are asking for help in raising money to pay some of her monthly bills for two months that she hasn't been able to work (rent, health insurance, electricity, etc) and for some of her medical bills that are already past due.
We are humbled by and grateful for those who have already helped in any way - venmos for coffee when she had surgery, homemade food brought by friends, family that has come to stay and drive to treatment, texts checking in on us, family paying for flights for Mary Grace and I between Texas and Asheville. We know the world is holding a lot of pain and there is so much to digest and put your effort and money towards, so please only donate if you can and whatever you feel comfortable with.
Thank you for your care and love and consideration. We care and love our mom lots, and appreciate any help in taking care of her as best we can. As I've said to many people giving me props for helping her at this time, I'd do anything for her because she'd do anything for me. It's an easy choice to be there for her, and I'm grateful for that.
