Helping Lisa Fight Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Some of you may know Lisa as a 4-year-old teacher for years. Others may know her as a Clinton resident for over 30 years. Her most important role has been Mom and Mema to her daughters and grandsons.
Many may not know, but in October 2022, Lisa was diagnosed with an aggressive stage of “Invasive Ductile Carcinoma” better known as breast cancer. Her tight-knit family was devastated but ready to help her fight. Everything has moved quickly, and she has already undergone 4 rounds of the “Red Devil” chemo, which many say is the harshest type of chemo. On December 16th imaging showed that her main tumor had shrunk…chemo was working, but the fight isn’t over yet!
On December 16th Lisa started her first of 12 rounds of a different type of chemo. She has been traveling to Greenville every week with the company of her daughters to receive chemotherapy and weekly checkups. Luckily Lisa’s body has stayed healthy through these chemo treatments and she hasn’t missed a treatment day, yet!
This battle has been hard on Lisa, and teaching her 4-year-olds hasn’t been an option due to the side effects of chemo. However, her amazing team of nurses and doctors have helped her through this process and are hopeful the cancer will continue to shrink.
While she is fighting with the help of her doctors and family, she would greatly appreciate your support. This GoFundMe has been created to lessen the burden of medical costs and costs of daily living for Lisa during this trying time. Any generosity is greatly appreciated. Together, we can help her get through this and win this fight!
