Lisa Rayner Memorial Fund
Donation protected
This GoFundMe is to provide for and support the young family of our dear friend, Lisa Deluge Rayner, who passed away unexpectedly at 36 years old on the morning of Wednesday, November 18th. Lisa was a dedicated mother of two beautiful girls, Madeline 6 and Charlotte 3, and loving wife of Chris Rayner.
Tuesday afternoon, Lisa suddenly collapsed in her kitchen. Her heroic daughter Madeline ran to get help from a neighbor, who then called 911. Lisa was taken by ambulance to St. John Moross hospital in Detroit, Michigan and was rushed into emergency surgery. Doctors were able to determine that Lisa had suffered a massive heart attack. Lisa went to recovery, but remained on a ventilator.
At around 2:00am, Lisa took a turn for the worst. Her hemoglobin dropped and the medical team performed a procedure to bypass her heart and lungs. Lisa should have improved on ECMO, but didn’t. At that time, Chris and Lisa’s mother were both able to visit. Shortly after 7:00am, Lisa passed away.
Lisa’s family is now struggling to figure out how to live without her. She was an amazing mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend, and so much more to so many people. It is heartbreaking to imagine her family carrying on without her — this hole left in their family cannot be filled.
I am Chris’s best friend. I am trying to raise as much help for this beautiful young family as I possibly can. Funds are being deposited into Chris’s account. This fundraiser will help cover funeral expenses for Lisa, meals for the family, and will ensure that Chris doesn’t have to worry about how to pay the bills while learning to take care of his girls without their mother. All additional funds will go into college savings accounts for Madeline and Charlotte.
If you'd prefer to Venmo you can send funds directly to her sister @KristenDeluge.
Cards and condolences can be sent to 15714 Sprenger Ave., Eastpointe, MI 48021.
Lisa was adamant about Covid safety. A celebration of her life will be held once it is safe to do so.
We ask that you please consider supporting Lisa’s family, to get them through this extraordinarily difficult time. Any donations will help this family focus on healing and celebrating her life. Lisa will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. She will be forever in our hearts and on our minds.
